doc.cheap – passport & ID OCR

Reads the printed fields from a photo of a passport, ID card or driver's licence and returns structured JSON, including the machine-readable zone (MRZ). - Hosted server, nothing to install. Without a key it runs on the public sandbox key (10 free recognitions, no account); add your doc.cheap API key for real use. - Free – 100 documents every month on your own account, then $0.01 per recognised document; nothing is charged when the image holds no readable document. No card needed. - Tools: scan_document, check_balance, search_docs. - Also on npm as @doc-cheap/mcp (stdio). MIT-licensed source: [doc.cheap MCP server (source)](https://gitlab.com/doccheap/ocr-mcp) - Docs: https://doc.cheap/docs · Privacy: https://doc.cheap/privacy
