draftlytic-mcp
**Turn a rough idea into a structured spec — offline, right in your editor.** draftlytic-mcp turns a vague project idea into a structured product spec (PRD) inside Claude Code, Cursor, or any MCP client. No API key, no account, no network calls — it runs entirely on your machine. Your editor's model does the writing; this server supplies the schema to write into, the questions to ask, a validator that catches gaps before you code, and a deterministic Markdown renderer. Why: "vibe coding" from a one-line prompt tends to produce a plausible-looking app that's missing half the decisions you actually needed — what's in scope for v1, what the data model looks like, what "done" means for a feature. draftlytic-mcp doesn't generate that for you; it structures the conversation so your model asks the right questions, then checks its own homework before you start building. **Tools** - `spec_checklist` — the interview checklist your model walks you through - `validate_spec` — structural, placeholder, and quality checks on a draft spec - `render_prd` — deterministic spec → clean Markdown PRD (refuses on structural errors) - `open_in_draftlytic` — hand off a partial spec to the full hosted app **Prompt** - `plan_project` — drives the whole flow: interview → draft → validate loop → render **Install** npx -y draftlytic-mcp Also published to npm and the official MCP Registry.
