# InfoSlides MCP server Put a PowerPoint, PDF, photo or live data on any smart TV, menu board or lobby screen, from a conversation with your AI assistant. InfoSlides turns presentations and data into a video stream that plays on any smart TV or display. This server lets an assistant set that up and keep it running: create a workspace, add slides, pair a screen, schedule what plays when, and push live values. The person never has to open a dashboard. ## What an assistant can do - **Slides.** Upload a PowerPoint or PDF, add photos and videos, or add a text slide from a heading, text and a colour or picture, with no AI involved. AI Studio can also draft slides from a prompt or a document. - **Screens.** Create a screen, pair the TV in front of the person with a code, find out why a screen is black, and see what is playing now. - **Schedules and takeovers.** Play a slideshow in a daily time window, show or hide a slide by time, weekday or date, or take screens over for a notice and put them back afterwards. - **Live data.** Add a slide that updates by itself (a queue number, today's soup, scores, weather) and push values to it from a point-of-sale or booking system. - **Workspace.** Check health, invite team members, manage API keys, and undo changes for 24 hours. Every tool call returns a plain result an assistant can read out, and changes can be undone. ## Connect **Hosted (no install).** Add `https://infoslides.app/mcp` as a remote MCP server and sign in with OAuth. Pick the workspace when asked. **Local.** Install the `infoslides` program or the `.mcpb` bundle from the GitHub releases. Leave the API key empty and the assistant can create a new workspace for you, which starts on a free plan with no card. Or paste an existing `isk_admin_` key to use a workspace you already have. The local server also reads files from your computer (PowerPoint, PDF, images). The hosted server cannot, so there you add media by public URL. ## Good to know - Text on a slide is shown exactly as given. InfoSlides does not check that a price or time is right, so check the figures before they go on a screen. - AI Studio features need a paid plan, and a free workspace can try them a few times. - Screens play in a browser, on Android, or as an HLS stream.
